Mine was a replacement for the CWC-900 which died after a year or so (no power to the system at all). This worked great for less than a year, and it died, too (power, but no cooling). Now, I'm completely out of warranty. Big disappointment.

Same story for me - vpatel -
I've gone through 3 wine cellars now. I started off with the CWC-1200 model. The first one lasted the longest, and when I called about the warranty, I was pleased that they would replace it, no questions asked. The second one didn't last as long as the first, and when I called, they said that the model was discontinued but that they would send me the 1600 instead. Well, I had the 1600 for less than THREE months and it won't cool now. At this point, I'm tired of paying the shipping for sending the broken one back. I only live about 30 minutes from the facility, but they said that I have to mail it. Looks like it's going to be a bottle holder now.

I'd stay away from Cuisinart. I thought the new model would mean the problem would go away. But it seems like they just produce one crappy product after another.

concensus: Cuisinart wine coolers are poor quality - Daedalus - San Diego, CA USA
I own a CWC-900. It is off warranty. It is a glorified cabinet. My impression of cuisinart has always been up there with Kitchenaid of which I have several products from each.Short and to the point. DO NOT BUY Cuisinart wine fridges. They look nice and that's all. Customer service is also mediocre.

DONT BUY CUISINART WINE CELLAR PRODUCTS - servinitup - San Francisco, CA
This is the second wine cellar that I have from Cusinart. The first unit died and right after the warranty expired. After a discussion they sent out a replacement unit that lasted only 6 month. Yes that's right ONLY 6 months. Again the cooling element failed. The second time I contacted Cuisnart's customer service department, they were very rude and not understanding. They told me that due to the fact they replaced the first unit, that the second unit was only covered under the orginial warranty. But wait,... the second unit didnt even last one year. Again...6 months only. And yes the cooling capability is really wimpy. After talking with a refridgator specialist friend, he stated that these units constantly fail. Dont buy Cuisinart wine cellar products, they dont last.
