Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless 5-1/2-Quart Saute with Helper and Cover

You could pay at least twice this price for an All-Clad Sauté Pan and still have nothing more than the 'name'. But you know, "Cuisinart" is a pretty good name too!
I'm totally satisfied with the performance of this pan! I even used it to cook some bacon in and it done just fine. (didn't stick.) I use it like any skillet... why not!?
I'm getting the whole set next time! Tri-ply 18/10 "Cuisinart MultiClad Pro Stainless Steel 12-Piece Cookware Set"

The only problem I had with this purchase. was the SHIPPING. I chose the "FREE with Super Saver Shipping", and expected to wait a 'LITTLE' longer than other shipping methods.... not THIS much longer!
I purchased the pan on 04-09-10...... On 04-30-10, I was notified by email that it had shipped! THREE WEEKS to even begin the shipping process!!! I received it a few days later. I don't think it takes a month to get to Mars!
It was almost as if they waited on purpose, to avoid a future "free shipping" choice from me!
I know it doesn't take 3 weeks to put a box in the "out bin"! |:-/

Customer Review
Worked great until it warped - Fake Name -
This unit worked wonderfully and looked great (yes I do buy items because of aesthetic value). However, after we used it for about a month, the bottom of the pan warped. It used to sit flat on my glass top stove, but now wobbles and has a hot spot. We've avoided all of the things that can warp a pan, and it still happened. Time to see how good the warranty service is I guess.

great for parties - anna9999 - ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA, US
used this item once to make seafood pasta for 10 ppl. excellent for cooking and serving the pasta in. cooks evenly and holds heat well. only downside is the lid. keep burning my wrist everytime i went to flip it open. otherwise, great product.

Good, but not amazing - Robert Garton - Los Angeles, CA USA
In my mind, Multiclad is supposed to give uniform heat over the bottom surface of the pan. My test for this is to put chunks of stew meat all over the bottom, and see if they get uniformly brown all at the same time. The uniformity is certainly better than a single layer stainless pan, but I think my cast-iron skillet might be a bit better. It's not bad, but not worth 5 stars. I do love the big size, so that you can spread out morsels of meat or mushrooms and get wonderful browning. It's much nicer looking than my old farberware.
