I love this toaster! It runs a little hot, I toast everything at 2 or 2.5. I love the bagel feature, it only toasts the inside of the bagel. Another benefit of this toast, is because it is an electronic toaster, I no longer trip the circuit breaker when I am toasting and running the coffee maker at the same time.

It is good and convenient to use. If u cut the bagle in half, it can also reheat bagles!

So the toaster was fine while it lasted, although the bagel setting wasn't really all that useful as it seemed to overcook the bagels, but a couple days ago the outside elements simply stopped heating and shortly after the lever refused to stay down. This with less than two years of use!
I see from the reviews here that this is a common fate for this toaster and while I could have it fixed, the cost of mailing it back and providing return postage make such a prospect somewhat foolish. Sigh...

We've had this toaster since 2005 and it's been excellent at making toast and doing bagels; it has very even heating. Now, 5 years later, it is just starting to go, eg, we need to turn up the dial to get the same level of browning so I am ordering a new one. 5yrs of life for a toaster can't be beat.......
